Arts

At Stillwater Public Schools, we believe the arts are a vital part of every student’s education. Our programs in visual art, vocal and instrumental music, and theatre strengthen creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, while fostering self-expression and confidence. Participation in the arts has also been shown to enhance learning in other subjects, supporting stronger academic performance in areas like math, reading, and science. Through hands-on learning and performance opportunities, students build perseverance, collaboration, and communication abilities that support success in, and beyond, the classroom. By engaging in the arts, our students don’t just learn to create — they learn to think deeply, work together, and appreciate diverse perspectives, helping them grow into well-rounded, thoughtful citizens.
