Band & Color Guard

A highlight of Stillwater’s performing arts program, and a big part of the reasons we've been named a "Best Communities for Music Education" for nine consecutive years, the SPS Band program engages approximately more than 500 students in grades 6–12, helping them build self-discipline, musicianship, and lifelong friendships. Beginning in middle school, students participate in daily ensemble classes and perform in at least three concerts each year, including competitive events.

The program includes honor band and ensemble participation, community collaborations with SHS and OSU music groups, marching band, jazz band, and opportunities to participate in ensembles and solo performances and competitions.:

Beyond competitions, the band supports school spirit through pep band and marching performances at football games and community events. With diverse opportunities and consistent recognition, Stillwater’s band program fosters musical growth, leadership, and community pride — making it a standout experience for every student musician.
