Orchestra

The Stillwater Public Schools Orchestra Program is a cornerstone of our district's commitment to excellence in music education. Recognized nationally, the district has been named a "Best Communities for Music Education" for nine consecutive years, highlighting its impact on student learning and engagement. 

Beginning in 6th grade, students embark on their musical journey with string instruments, progressing through middle and high school ensembles. The orchestras perform regularly in the SHS Performing Arts Center, showcasing their talents in concerts such as the annual Holiday Festival.

In partnership with SHS Band, wind instrument players join the orchestra for combined performances, enriching the musical experience for all students. This collaboration fosters a comprehensive understanding of orchestral music and promotes teamwork among young musicians.
