Oklahoma Promise Scholarships for Children of Teachers

Children of public school teachers can now qualify for the Oklahoma Promise Scholarship under House Bill 1727, for families with household income under 700% of the federal poverty level. To qualify educators must be full-time certified teachers who have taught for at least 10 years in Oklahoma public schools; the years do not have to be in the same school or district, nor consecutive.

Oklahoma's Promise is the more familiar name of the Oklahoma Higher Learning Access Program (OHLAP),  which allows students meeting certain income, academic and conduct requirements to earn college/technology center scholarships.
