Seal of Biliteracy

The Oklahoma Seal of Biliteracy is an Honor given to students in 9th - 12th grade, who can speak, read, and write in English plus at least one other language. In receiving this honor, students will receive an additional certificate on their official high school transcript. This certificate will qualify students for bilingual and biliterate employment.
To qualify for the Oklahoma Seal of Biliteracy, students must demonstrate proficiency in English through the following state-approved assessments:
- ACT (English Language Arts section with Writing)
- AP English Language or AP English Literature
- PSAT or PSAT/NMSQT
- SAT Reading and Writing Exam Evidence (EBRW)
- WIDA ACCESS
- AAPL Form B
- STAMP 4S
Students must additionally demonstrate proficiency in at least one other language through the following state-approved assessment:
- AP Language and Culture
- AAPPL Form B
- STAMP 4S
- Sign Language Proficiency Interview (SLPI)
