SPS Names New Assistant Principal

(Stillwater, Oklahoma) The Stillwater Board of Education approved the hiring of Adam Elghadi as an assistant principal at Stillwater Junior High School at its Tuesday, May 9 meeting.

Elghadi will join the Stillwater Junior High School administrative team next fall as an assistant principal, alongside fellow Principal Crystal Szymanski and fellow Assistant Principal, Dr. Kane Mach.

“The role of assistant principal is one that allows me to support the teachers and students, ensuring school is an environment that provides a welcoming atmosphere and challenges students and staff to achieve,” says Elghadi, “Nothing is more important than growing the next generation of students into active, engaged citizens and active members of their community.”

A graduate of Sapulpa High School, he received his Social Studies Education bachelors from Northeastern State University in 2014. He served as a 6th through 8th Grade Social Studies Teacher at Childers Middle School from 2014-2021. Elghadi completed a Masters of Education from his alma mater in 2019, and became Dean of Students at Broken Arrow Freshman Academy in 2021.

“Stillwater has both small town and big city vibes. It really is a place I could call home, and it offers an opportunity for growth.” the new assistant principal says. “When I interviewed with Principal Szymanski, Assistant Principal Mach, and the rest of their team, I felt a strong rapport and common passion for education. The staff at SJHS are in it for the right reasons, and I look forward to doing great things in the coming year.”

“Dr. Mach and I are excited to have Mr. Elghadi join our team at the Junior High,” says Principal Crystal Szymanski. “We are confident he’ll help bring additional excitement, motivation, and intentionality to our school. Mr. Elghadi is a passionate educator with experience supporting students and teachers. His approach to school supports a culture of positivity.”

Elghadi will join the district for onboarding and training over summer and assume his duties as Assistant Principal on July 18.
