OSU - Geoscience Research Experience

The Boone Pickens School of Geology is offering Geoscience Research Experience, a resident camp on the OSU campus for high school students interested in geoscience and working in laboratory and field settings. Students will work closely with faculty developing research projects that range from wet-lab geochemistry to near-surface geophysics. The camp will take place from July 17th-20th and campers will be provided food and lodging on campus and transportation to field sites. Evening activities will emphasize team building.

  • Campers are to arrive by 1:00 pm on 7/17/2023 and check out of dorms by 2:00 pm on 7/20/2023.
  • Meals and snacks will be provided.
  • Students will have completed the 8th grade to attend this camp. Minimum age is 14 years.
  • 22 Campers Maximum

Location: OSU campus in Stillwater. Lab activities will be held in the NRC, HBRC and Gary F. Stewart Core Research Facility. Field trips will be to areas in northern or central Oklahoma.
