Middle School / Junior High Track Tryouts 2024

7th Grade try-outs on Monday Feb 26th at 4:30pm. They must provide their own transportation to the try-out.

HS Track tryouts will be held November 8, 2023 at 4:30pm at SHS.

Tryouts are open to anyone 9-12  grade who did not participate during the 2023 season.

All male students entering 8th – 12th grades for the 2023-2024 school year are eligible to tryout.

Special Announcement: 8th grade girls soccer is here! For anyone who missed the tryouts at the end of summer, please come to practice after school from 4:00-5:15 PM for open tryouts. There are still a few spots available. Open tryouts will be held through Friday, January 12th. Questions, email: [email protected]  

Girls Soccer tryouts will be held on Monday, May 8 and Friday, May 12 from 6:30PM - 8PM at Pioneer Stadium. Tryouts are open for anyone who will be in grades 7-12 next school year. Attendants need to bring soccer cleats/athletic shoes and water. Contact Coach Rivera at [email protected] with any questions.

SJHS BOYS Golf

Team and tryout information

Hello, my name is Jake Ehrlich and I am the coach of the SJHS Boys Golf Team. I am looking forward to a great golf season this year. I have been coaching golf for another school system for the past 14 years and I am excited for this new opportunity. Due to the number of signups and our limited practice space, we will have tryouts to narrow the team down to a manageable number.

Requirements and things you need to know:

•  You will need your own equipment. SPS does not provide golf clubs, bags, shoes, tees, etc...
  • A “student/parent” store will be opened to purchase shirts, jackets, hats and
• other clothes, as you will keep them at the end of the season.
• You will need to have your own transportation to and from practice. There will not be any transportation provided except for tournaments.
• All team members will need to be academically eligible at all times.
• You will need to be able to devote time for after school practices. Plus all competitive tournaments.
• You will need a physical on file to practice and compete (you will not need a physical for tryouts).

Tryout Information:

• JH Golf Tryouts are MONDAY, FEBRUARY 19, at the Links Golf Course. There will be a parent/player meeting at 9:00 am and the players will tee off at 10:00 am. If you cannot attend this tryout other arrangements may be possible but not guaranteed. Due to the large number of sign-ups, this is the most efficient, decisive and fair way to decide the final team roster.
• Players will play 9 holes. Scores will be turned in after the round. We may also have a chipping and putting evaluation. Results will be emailed.

I would love for everyone to make the team, but we are unfortunately limited.

SJHS Girls Golf

Make-Up Tennis Tryouts

There are a limited number of varsity and junior varsity spots available. Freshmen not selected will still have the option to play for the junior high. 

Bring your own racket, shoes, and gear. Come ready to play. Go Pioneers!

7th grade Track Tryouts are scheduled for Monday, Feb. 26th at 4:45pm at Stillwater Junior High. Students should arrive at the JH by 4:30pm. Transportation will not be provided by Stillwater Public Schools to this tryout. (Transportation for track participants will be provided to the JH once track practice begins) All students must have a current physical on file with Stillwater Public Schools OSSAA Physical Exam Form
