The Calf Fry Festival in Stillwater is an annual event that is primarily known as a music festival. Its name embraces its origins as a celebration of the food item "calf fries", which are breaded and deep-fried calf testicles. The event, generally held near the first  weekend of May, brings a very large number of visitors to our community. Notable is an increase in traffic, particularly in the evenings and night in the northwest part of town near the Tumbleweed Ballroom just outside of the city limits. The event is geared toward an adult audience, and brings a large number of musical acts to our community. Restaurants and hotels are noticeably more busy than usual during this time.
